Unlike a wick permanently fixed to the bottom of a traditional jar candle, the loose-wick sand-wax design adds a self-extinguishing safety feature if the wick burns low or the candle is accidentally tipped.
Wick isn't fixed to the base
As the wick burns down, it can fall into its melt pool and self-extinguish instead of continuing to heat the bottom of the vessel.
Important: This is still a real open flame. “Self-extinguishing” does not mean fireproof or zero-risk. Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it away from children, pets, drafts and flammable materials, and follow the safety instructions supplied with your product.

How does Sand Wax work?
Pour the wax granules into a suitable heat-safe vessel, insert one of the included wicks with the required clearance, then light it. A small melt pool forms around the wick just like a candle.
What happens if it gets knocked over?
The loose-wax candle system is designed to self-extinguish if accidentally tipped. It is an added safety feature, not a reason to leave a candle unattended. Always treat it as real fire.
How many wicks are included?
Ten wicks are included with this product.
Can I reuse the Sand Wax?
Yes. Once the candle is fully extinguished and cool, the used wick area can be removed and the remaining sand wax can be smoothed and set up again.
What container should I use?
Use a suitable heat-safe candle vessel and follow the included wick-clearance instructions. Keep the wick safely away from the sides and bottom of the container.
